How we’re changing women and girl's lives
Womem Economical Empowerment
GCR’s economic empowerment interventions are revolutionizing the lives of women and girls in Mozambique. Through comprehensive financial literacy and skills training programs, GCR is empowering adolescent girls and young women, with tools to take charge of their financial resources and make informed decisions about their economic futures. The impact is profound as +35 women-led businesses have flourished, creating a ripple effect of income-generating opportunities across the country. These enterprises are not only thriving but also gaining formal registration and licensing, ensuring women access the rights and protections afforded to legitimate entities. The results are remarkable: improved livelihoods, heightened economic independence, and an overwhelming sense of agency and empowerment. GCR is breaking down the barriers that have historically stifled women’s economic participation, fostering true gender equality, and paving the way for sustainable socio-economic transformation in Mozambique. Please watch the video to see more how our interventions are changing life.
